Further information from National Archives :-
John Wright joined the Royal Navy signing on 14 April1858 at HMS Hawke (Queenstown?). He transferred to continuous service February 1862. Transferred from AB Royal Navy to Boatman Coastguard on 29 May 1868.After service in England (HMS Pembroke -Shoeburyness and HMS Penelope - St Margarets Bay) he joined HMS Belleisle - Roches Point 17 April 1878 where he served until pensioned 13 April 1889. Date of death unknown. Any further information would be appreciated.
