My grandmother Annie Mathews was born in Arthurstown in 1883. Her father was William Henry Bennett and he was a coastguard. I wonder if this is where she was actually born. I know he was at Dunmore East coastguard station which seems to be close to Arthurstown. Could he have worked at both, or was Dunmore East covered from Arthurstown?
