Hi, I am new at this but here goes. I found my great grandfather Coastguard Thomas David Rendle on the 1901 census located at Down. This I am excited about as I have not been able to find much else anywhere. I know he must have died sometime soon after that as his wife Beatrice remarried in 1902. They had two living children (I think another died soon after birth). I have some photos of medals he was awarded which I will post when I can get assistance this end. My grandfather also known as Thomas David Henry Rendle (born 1898) was in the Merchant Marines and eventually found his way to Australia which is where we live. Any info you can send me would be very much appreciated. Many thanks, Robyn Edited by robynnorton on 13/11/2007 09:53 |

This thread is continued here.
I run the site and provide technical back up. I know nothing about Coastguards.
