Hallo again You were so helpful when i was looking for Alfred Norman, I'm back again for more advice. This document shows a register of magistrates in Donegal for 1831 http://eppi.dippa...ges/227476 and includes Ralph Mansfield, whose occupation is given as Captain in the Coastguards, yearly salary 500 l The year 1827 in the left hand column refers to when he was appointed magistrate for Donegal, I think. I have drawn a blank in the nominal index, so would be grateful for any pointers. I'm also interested in any Mansfields in the coastguards with DOnegal links, if there are any more.
