Just arrived
Hello, all. I'm G.W. over for a visit from British Medals Forum.
Welcome G.W.

If you take as active a roll as on the BMF, I look forward to some interesting posts, and perhaps sight of some early CG Long Service Medals.

Thanks, Martin, but I'm just a quick visitor. Picked up a group that fell in my lap to HENRY WARREN, and the collector had noted he was involved in the rescue of three men from the schooner Clans in Feb 1893 off the Irish coast. Lifeboat Gallantry mentions the action and that a medal was awarded to the chief officer.
Paperwork did not accompany the group, and I was wondering how the collector knew my man was part of this action. gw
