Compiling family history of Twomey family Aghada area Cork and getting nowhere fast! My great grandfather Patrick Twomey was captain of a steamlaunch running a ferry service between Aghada and Cork. He was captain of the Bull Dog steamer in the 1901 Census. I believe that his father or uncle was also working on the steamlaunches but have no other names of the family. Any help in this search would be much appreciated. |
