 Information needed on a royal marine

Please can anyone help me find out more about a royal marine? Who can I ask for more information on him?His name was John Thomas HOBBS he was a Captain of the Royal Marines and died around 1826. Pointers would be most appreciated.Thank you |

Hi Had your man been an 'ordinary ranks' then there is a good chance his papers would be available to download, online. However, as an Officer it looks as if you are in for a bit of a hunt.
