I am trying to trace Coastguard service record of William Tickell (b. 1846) who was Quartermaster in the RN and joined Coastguards around September 1876 and pensioned off around August 1884. Two children were born in Ireland during this period |

Hi. and welcome to the Forum. I'm afraid that for the timeframe you are intrested in, you are going to have to rely on the Service Records from the National Archives http://www.nation...5Fdate+asc. William does feature in ADM 175/55 (pdf 139 of 313), when he first joins the CG Service at Achilbegs on 14 September 1876, but this is the last record in this particular series of documents.
