Looking for info on a coastguard called William Shaw, He was stationed at Malin Head in 1911 census with his wife and daughter. Any info would be appreciated by his family. I think he was born in England but not sure. Thank you Margaret |

Hi Margaret I believe the man you are looking for is a William Henry Shaw, born Plymouth, Devon on the 28 June 1867; his RN service record No. is 120801. I have checked this against the 1901 & 1911 irish census's and his rank and posting appear to match, although he served at Malin Beg not Malin Head. Martin |

Thank You, Martin, I was trying to find some information for someone and this is very helpful. I wonder if he was stationed in Ballyweel, Killybegs or Ballyshannon, he appeared to have moved after 1911 to close to Donegal town. I was just trying to establish if he was the same person.
