He returned to England to get married to Mary Anne Davis in Sept 1876, marriage cert says he was resident in Balbriggan, first child Ellen, born in Balbriggan Sept 1879 and died Oct 1879. Finally returned to England, Rotherhithe around 1889, his youngest daughter Hannah being born in or around Deptford. At time of death Edward was "nightwatchman" of 3 Paradise Place, Union Road, Rotherhithe.

There is possibility that Edward/Mary Anne had a child earlier that Ellen 1879 - this would have been a son, born c1877 in London (Rotherhithe) who went to Australia before 1914. This came from a family member, have not (yet) looked for him on 1891 census .. would be about 14 .. but he's not with rest of family.
